Jesus is offering you His peace...

In our lives, we experience fear, pain, sickness, suffering… too many troubles to list here!

Everyone is in need of lasting, eternal peace and security.

The Bible tells us how you can have those needs met.

Jesus told His followers, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14:27]

Again, Jesus promised those who trust in Him, “These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation (pain/suffering/hardship); but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” [John 16:33]

The Bible also promises that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:7]

How can you have the peace of God that the Bible promises to everyone who trusts in Jesus?

You need to understand four simple truths:

1. ​ We have all sinned against God with our actions and our disbelief in Him.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

2. The penalty for sin is death in hell.

“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23a)
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:14)

3. Because God loves you, Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins.  
​Jesus rose from the dead, and He offers you forgiveness and eternal life in heaven.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)
"For God so loved the world that He gave is only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

4. Repent of your sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ.
​Trust in Him alone, and He will save you from the penalty of your sins.

​“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands people
​everywhere to repent:” (Acts 17:30)
“... if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” 
(Romans 10:9-10)
“For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
God promises:
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

That is how you can freely receive God’s gift of eternal life and the peace Jesus offers everyone who puts their faith and trust in Him.

You might think that this is too simple.

It really is that simple, and it’s true.
