International Cookout and Giveaway

New international students and visiting scholars are welcome to come to our CBF International Cookout and Giveaway to be held from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on August 17
​at Faith Baptist Church.
Come to enjoy a healthy meal prepared by the members of Faith Baptist Church and receive helpful household items to assist you in settling into your new home in Iowa City.

Transportation options to our Cookout and GiveAway:

  • If you arrive by car, free parking is available at the church (1251 Village Rd)
  • If you want to use the bus, take the #9 Towncrest city bus to stop #7263 - (Wayne Ave & Village Rd) and the church is a very short walk to your right on Village Rd
  • Van rides to the church will be provided leaving from the UI campus parking lot between the IMU and Hubbard Park @ 10:00 a.m., August 17
